Vance Lake is a good location of normal rain; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Klondike Lake is a tremendous lake close to Vance Lake; tremendous hiking is available along the Valley Spur Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a tremendous national park, and AmericInn Munising is a delightful       place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Vance Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a good spot for that; don't leave Vance Lake without first going for a hike along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Vance Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wide Water Campground; you can go for a hike on the Big Island Lake                  Portage Canoe Trail. Take a side journey to Little Indian River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Vance Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Vance Lake fall into the 0's.
