Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a very good place to stop by in close proximity to Vance Lake, and Vance Lake is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby. All through the summertime here at Vance       Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Vance Lake sink into the 0's. Little Indian River flows through this vicinity, and you can go for a hike on the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. Wide Water Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Klondike Lake, and Americas                  Best Value Inn - Wetmore is a magnificent place to get some rest. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Vance Lake. You could also check out Twilight Lake while you're here at Vance Lake; it's close by, and there are great locations to explore along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail.
