Hampton Inn South Haven is a great spot to get some rest, and Rush Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Van Auken Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rush Lake Campgrounds. During the warm months here at Van Auken Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 60's. | | do here at Van Auken Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Ronora is a great place for that, and a round of golf at nearby Beeches Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time. Van Auken Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Ramada Watervliet is a perfect choice, and since you're here, you could also pop by delightful Sassafras Lake. | |
