There's so much to do here at Upper Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trails Campground is a wonderful spot for that; pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you obtain at Hanson Hills. Upper Black Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of       precipitation. During the warm months at Upper Black Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Upper Black Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Upper Black Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kalkaska County Log Lake Park, and Whispering Pines Resort is a glorious spot to get some rest.                  This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Grayling Days Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and lakes are such calm locations, why not stop by Bear Lake.
