Not far from Uncle Tom Lake, you'll come across Powell Lake which is a striking lake, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Escanaba River - Middle       Branch. From a rainfall point of view Uncle Tom Lake is a rather typical location; throughout September this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Marquette, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Escanaba River - East Branch. For the period of the months of summer here at Uncle Tom Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
