Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Uncle Tom Lake is unbeatable! Escanaba River - East Branch is a good whitewater spot next to Uncle Tom Lake, and Marquette is a wonderful local ski area. Uncle Tom Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and if you've had enough of Uncle Tom Lake, Strawberry Lake is close by. The yearly precipitation       here at Uncle Tom Lake is about average; during September this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Uncle Tom Lake you can take a hike along the Holyoke Trail. Lots of people from Marquette come to Uncle Tom Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Uncle Tom Lake has to offer, you can camp at Gitche Gumee Campground and RV. In case you don’t mind getting soaked,                  you can always go whitewater paddling on Escanaba River - Middle Branch, and Uncle Tom Lake is not the only location nearby, Powell Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Uncle Tom Lake you can play some golf at Red Fox Run Golf Course, and a wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Suites Marquette. Looking for some flowing water? Try O'Neal Creek, and after a long day outdoors Marquette-Days Inn is a perfect site to spend a night or two. At Uncle Tom Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
