     Michigan has many beautiful lakes and Twin Tomahawk Lakes is one of them. Stay the night at Thunder Bay Resort, and a tremendous close by hotel is Treetops Resort. At Twin Tomahawk Lakes during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Twin Tomahawk Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling  
   on Ocqueoc River, and while you're here, you could also pop by charming Mud Lake.
If you're a golfer then a tremendous nearby course is Elk Ridge Golf Course. Shady Acres Campground is a great campground nearby, and you'll discover a lovely lake called Spring Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Twin Tomahawk Lakes; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

I have fished this lake for bluegills and have had great success. Some of the bluegills were 9 1/2 inches long. The water is very clear requiring 2 to 4 pound test line. Use half crawler with a small hook, #6, with a small split shot or at times no weight. Fish the deeper water by drifting until you find the fish then anchor. There are largemouth bass in this lake but they run undersize at around 11 to 12 inches. I used an electric motor to get around. The lake is small enough that you can row with your oars. During the spawning season,mid June, I fished the shoreline around the lake and caught the gills on their spawning beds. I have limited out many days fishing this lake with some nice size bluegills. I hand launched a boat at the camp ground there which charges a daily fee and parked in the parking lot....
