     Twin Tomahawk Lakes is not the only spot nearby, Mud Lake is a nearby lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Twin Tomahawk Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Shady Acres Campground. Twin Tomahawk Lakes gets a common amount of annual precipitation; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Treetops Resort is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself  
   into a kayak and hit Ocqueoc River. There's so much to do here at Twin Tomahawk Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Thunder Bay Resort is a good site for that.
A lake nearby is Spring Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Elk Ridge Golf Course. Summer at Twin Tomahawk Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Twin Tomahawk Lakes drop into the 0's.

I have fished this lake for bluegills and have had great success. Some of the bluegills were 9 1/2 inches long. The water is very clear requiring 2 to 4 pound test line. Use half crawler with a small hook, #6, with a small split shot or at times no weight. Fish the deeper water by drifting until you find the fish then anchor. There are largemouth bass in this lake but they run undersize at around 11 to 12 inches. I used an electric motor to get around. The lake is small enough that you can row with your oars. During the spawning season,mid June, I fished the shoreline around the lake and caught the gills on their spawning beds. I have limited out many days fishing this lake with some nice size bluegills. I hand launched a boat at the camp ground there which charges a daily fee and parked in the parking lot....
