You'll meet a lot of folks from Alpena here, and not far from Twin Lakes you'll find Lower Barnhart Lake which is a charming lake. The amount of rain that falls at Twin Lakes is close to the national average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Ocqueoc River offers some magnificent whitewater, and Lyons Landing & Travel Trailer is a nice local campground.

Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Twin Lakes tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Gifford Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Twin Lakes; why not camp at Thunder Bay Resort since you're here at Twin Lakes. | |
