You'll need more than a day to discover everything Turtle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sunset Bay RV Resort, and lots of people from Houghton come here. A brilliant location near Turtle Lake is Hutchinson Shoal. There's so much to do here at Turtle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hancock Recreation Area is a magnificent place for that. So many amusing things       to do here at Turtle Lake, too magnificent to be true. If you haven’t been to Isle Royale National Park, you should schedule some time for it if you're here, and a glorious nearby hotel is Americinn - Calumet, Mi. After a long day outdoors Budget Host Inn Houghton is a good place to spend a night or two; there's whitewater on Eagle River for all you adrenaline kick people. Summertime highs at Turtle Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows                  plunge down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Turtle Lake. From a rainfall point of view Turtle Lake is a rather typical spot; the month with most of the snow is January while April is mostly the driest month.
