For the period of the months of summer at Turtle Lake highs are commonly in the 70's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Turtle Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Turtle Lake? Upper Woodcock Lake is in the neighborhood; if you come at the right time of year,       Boardman River offers some wonderful whitewater. Homestead is a very popular ski area close at hand, and you're sure to encounter some nice folks from Traverse City here. Best Western Scenic Hill Resort is a perfect spot to get some rest, and the sights at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will blow your mind.
