There is a perfect hiking trail near Trout Lake called the Haywire Grade ORV Trail, and Econo Lodge Lakeshore is a magnificent place to get some rest. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Trout Lake. Take a side spree to Bear Slough, and camping at Indian Lake Travel Resort is always a delightful experience. Going for a hike on the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail is always a great       adventure, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Manistique is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. The yearly rain here at Trout Lake is about average; during September this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the summertime at Trout Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows                  in the 0's for Trout Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
