     Some of the water close by flows, like Mountain Stream, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Pine Lake. Dudley Point is near Trout Lake and is a tremendous place to pop by; a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Yellow Dog River. An average amount of precipitation falls at Trout Lake; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the year is April. Camping at Michigamme  
   Shores Campground is always a great experience; after a long day outdoors Best Western Country Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two.
Through the warm months at Trout Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Trout Lake fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
