     The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Shanty Creek; Legend Cottage Inn is a good location to get some rest. Why not camp at Torch Grove Campgrounds if you're here at Torch Lake; a wonderful view of charming Old Baldy is available. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Torch Lake. Why not check out Ball Point also while you're here, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Elk Rapids Golf Course. This  
   lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Torch Lake is Maplehurst Camp, and lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at Mud Lake.
Torch Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the summer here at Torch Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours
 
               it's commonly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Torch Lake are in the 0's. Lake Maplehurst is a brilliant lake near Torch Lake, and if you need a place to stay Timber Lodge is a splendid choice.
