A day on the slopes of Crystal Mountain is just what you need, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail. The warmest time of the year at Tonawanda Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's while       Tonawanda Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Don't miss out on a visit to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore since you're here at Tonawanda Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Traverse City. Here at Tonawanda Lake there are plenty of people from Traverse City, and a round of golf at nearby Interlochen Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time. There's so much to do here at Tonawanda Lake that you need to                  camp here for a while, Lakeside Resort and Party Store is a brilliant site for that, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Homestead is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Boardman River is a brilliant whitewater spot next to Tonawanda Lake, and Tonawanda Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Traverse City Koa is a great local campground. An average amount of precipitation falls at Tonawanda Lake; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Tonawanda Lake.
