This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Timber Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering Pines Family Campground is a nice place for that, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Hawks Eye Clubhouse Condos. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Oxbow Lake, and the slopes of Boyne Mountain are so inviting       nobody can resist. Stay the night at Camp Tanuga, and Econo Lodge Kalkaska is a good site to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Grandview Golf Club is a perfect golf course close by. At Timber Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Timber Lake through the winter mostly sink into the 0's.
