There are some great whitewater spots on Sturgeon River, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Gaylord. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Boyne Mountain, and Holiday Inn Express GAYLORD is a pleasant site to get some rest. So many entertaining things to do here at Lake       Thumb, too brilliant to be true. Camping is available at Wolverine Camps, and Lake Thumb is not the only location nearby, Standard Lake is a nearby lake. Through the summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Lake Thumb with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Lake Thumb night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. An average amount of rain falls at Lake Thumb; of all the months in a                  year September is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
