There's so much to do here at Thompson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Green Valley Campgrounds is a tremendous spot for that. A lake close by is Goose Pond; Thompson Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Nottawa Park is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You could also pop by Dry Lake while you're here at Thompson Lake; it's nearby, and       you'll perhaps meet some people from Sturgis here. For the duration of the summertime at Thompson Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Thompson Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Thompson Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the                  driest. A great close by hotel is Super 8 Howe, and if you're a golfer then a nice nearby course is Island Hills Golf Club.
