Having a great time at Thompson Lake is trouble-free. A pretty lake like Logan Lakes next to Thompson Lake is a fine site to check out, and Thompson Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Taylor's Beach Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby. From a precipitation point of view Thompson Lake is a pretty normal place; the month with most of the rain is September; the driest of the months is February.       Earl Lake is a perfect lake right next door to Thompson Lake, and get covered with water paddling on Huron River. Lake Chemung Outdoor Resort is a wonderful campground nearby, and you can hit the slopes at Mount Brighton close at hand. If you need a site to stay Kensington Inn is a wonderful choice, and while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Marion Oaks Golf Club. During the summer at Thompson Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while                  overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Thompson Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
