Going for a hike on the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails is always a good adventure, and if you need a spot to stay Budget Host Inn Houghton is a nice choice. For you golfers we recommend close by L'Anse Golf Club, and obviously, all our national parks       are brilliant spots to take a look at and Isle Royale National Park is no exception. After a long day outdoors Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and beaches are wonderful and Second Sand Beach is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Pinery Lakes is a lake that's next to Third Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Houghton here. All through the long summer days here at Third Lake,                  high temperatures generally reach the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Third Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver River.
