If you are in this part of Michigan make sure to pay a visit to Thayer Lake. For the duration of the summertime at Thayer Lake highs are commonly in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Thayer Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. | | Gratiot River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lakes Motel is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Eagle River offers some great whitewater. Thayer Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that snows the most while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Calumet, Mi, and you'll meet a lot of people from Houghton here.
