Camping is available at Platte River Campground, and a great close by hotel is Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Taylor Lake. Taylor Lake is not far at all from Traverse City. From a precipitation point of view Taylor Lake is a reasonably normal location; September is when you get the most rain here while       February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For you golfers we recommend nearby Dunes' Golf Club; a splendid location to camp here at Taylor Lake is Sleepy Bear Camp Grounds. Throughout the long summer days at Taylor Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Taylor Lake temperatures                  descend to the 10's. Don't miss out on a journey to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore if you're here at Taylor Lake; the skiing at Crystal Mountain is wonderful.
