Summertime highs at Sylvan Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sylvan Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. Sylvan Pond is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, R and J Resort Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby;       Budget Host Alpine Motor Lodge - Manistee Onekama is a great site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Blacksmith Bayou Campground is a pleasant local campground, and Browns Bayou is a swamp next to Sylvan Pond.
