A day on the slopes of Homestead is just what you need, and Black Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. You clearly should love Sweet Lake. The peak of Varney Hill can be seen from Sweet Lake, and Sunnywoods Platte River is a magnificent campground here. Sweet Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here; February       meanwhile is the driest month. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Mistwood Golf Course, and if you need a place to stay Paradise Hollow Resort is a good choice. Here at Sweet Lake there are plenty of people from Traverse City, and a brilliant site for whitewater paddling is Boardman River. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Crystal Mountain is near Sweet Lake, and Sweet Lake is a fine spot to camp, Lime Lake Campground is a fine                  spot. A brilliant close by hotel is Best Western Scenic Hill Resort, and a spree to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is recommended. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the summer months at Sweet Lake highs are generally in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
