There's pleasant hiking along the Valley Spur Ski Trail; there are other sites here than Swamp Lake, for example Two Lakes. This       is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Munising is a fine location to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Hiawatha Resort and Campground since you're here at Swamp Lake. The yearly rainfall here at Swamp Lake is about average; all through September this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Swamp Lake, you could stop at Miners River,                  and not far from Swamp Lake you'll locate Miners Lake which is a charming lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Swamp Lake, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Swamp Lake are in the 0's.
