A magnificent place to camp here at Sumac Lake is Marion Lake Campground and Picnic Area, and Sumac Lake is not the only spot close by, Interior Lake is a close by lake. Sumac Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most, and       the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course, and nice hiking is available along the North Country National Scenic Trail. Little Falls is an inspiring site to go to while here. For the period of the summertime highs here at Sumac Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally                  in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sumac Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Ontonagon River - Middle Branch offers some glorious whitewater, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sumac Lake; Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail is a tremendous local trail.
