Midget Lake is a glorious lake next to Sucker Pond, and hiking along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail is brilliant fun. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is a glorious location to get some rest. The annual precipitation here at Sucker Pond is about average; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when       it's the driest. Take a hike on the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Alpine Motor Lodge - Manistee Onekama. Going for a hike along the North Country National Scenic Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and camping is available at Driftwood Valley Campground. Throughout the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Sucker Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold                  days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Sucker Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's.
