Sure, Boot Lake is just a very short distance away. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Stump Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the       highs are generally in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Stump Lake sink into the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Stump Lake is a reasonably common place; September is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
