All through the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Stricker Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Stricker Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.       If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boardman River, and what would winter be without some skiing at Homestead. The yearly rainfall here at Stricker Lake is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. A tour to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is worthwhile. Camping is available at Leelanau Pines; you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Fern Lake                  is one of those close by. Looking for something close to Stricker Lake? Coffield Lake is in close proximity, and a good close by hotel is Fairfield Inn & Suites Traverse City. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
