If you came for an overnight stay Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a good site to camp; if you need a place to stay AmericInn Munising is a glorious choice. The yearly precipitation here at Straits Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is worthwhile,       and Wide Water Campground is a fine campground nearby. There's whitewater on Au Train River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. For the duration of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 70's at Straits Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Straits Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the                  Haywire Grade ORV Trail; Ostrander Lake is a good lake nearby. While you're here at Straits Lake you can take a hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail. Lakes? Sure, Little Lake is close by. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be.
