For the period of the warm days of summer at Stonington Lake highs are usually in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Stonington Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stonington Lake is not the only site close by, Morrison Lake is       a close by lake; if you need a spot to stay Best Western Copper Crown Motel is a tremendous choice. A lake nearby is Lake Ongie; after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Houghton, MI is a fine location to spend a night or two. Isle Royale National Park is a pleasant local destination here at Stonington Lake; camping at Twin Lakes State Park is always a wonderful experience.
