Stonington Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; April is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Sturgeon River - West Branch, and a pretty lake like Morrison                  Lake is a good spot to take a look at. Just can't get enough of Stonington Lake. Go for a hike on the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails, and Otter River - West Branch has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. An afternoon playing golf at Wyandotte Hills Golf Club is always a pleasure, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Houghton, MI is a good spot to spend a night or two.
