     Stoner Pond is right by the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. There's so much to do here at Stoner Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Chapel Beach Campground is a good location for that. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Stoner Pond; Lakeshore Trail is a pleasant local trail, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of the destinations that are wonderful to go to nearby. The Haywire Grade ORV Trail  
   offers hiking at its best, and Stoner Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mosquito Beach Campground is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is AmericInn Munising; if you get bored of Stoner Pond you could also check out nearby Buck Lake.
