From a rain point of view Stone Lake is a quite typical location; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. If you're a golfer then a good close by course is Diamond Lake Golf Club, and if you come at the right time of year, East Race offers some fine whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Stone Lake is a place with many visitors       from South Bend-Mishawaka, and the slopes of Timber Ridge are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Stone Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunny Haven Recreation Park is a pleasant spot for that, and after a long day outdoors Hilton Garden Inn Elkhart is a glorious site to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Stone Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the                  60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Stone Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Stone Lake has to offer, you can camp at Living waters, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Swiss Valley. And that's not all you can do here at Stone Lake. Float down the rapids of Christiana Creek in a kayak, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Diamond Lake. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes.
