Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Beatons Lake is right next door to Stickley Lake. While you're here at Stickley Lake you can take a hike along the Alligator Eye Trail; Stickley Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cedar Campground is a good local campground. From       a precipitation point of view Stickley Lake is a pretty common site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Through the warm months highs here at Stickley Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Stickley Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's.                  Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ontonagon River - South Branch, and after a long day outdoors Settle Inn & Stes Eagle River is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
