Get soaked paddling on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch. There's so much to do here at Steusser Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Paulging Pond Campground and Picnic Area is a good site for that. There is a brilliant hiking trail next to Steusser Lake called the North Country National Scenic Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Porcupine Mountain is a wonderful site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater       paddling is wonderful on Ontonagon River - South Branch; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Perttu's Big Spruce Golf Course. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Silver City, Mi is a good spot to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Steusser Lake has to offer, you can camp at Robbins Pond Campground. At Steusser Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Highs                  through the wintertime are usually in the 10's with temperatures at Steusser Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. From a precipitation point of view Steusser Lake is a pretty normal place; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Steusser Lake. A lake nearby is Amber Lake, and Bluff Creek is near Steusser Lake and is always a pleasure to go to.
