A nice place to camp here at Stephenson Lake is Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds, and the snow is brilliant at Norway Mountain. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Escanaba River, and unsurprisingly Helps Creek flows through this neighborhood. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Summertime highs at Stephenson Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs

| | through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Stephenson Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Number Eighteen is a wonderful lake close by. From a precipitation point of view Stephenson Lake is a reasonably normal site; most of the rain falls through September; February is the month with the least moisture.
