Good hiking is available along the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Stella that you need to camp here for a while, Hovey Lake Campground is a splendid place for that. If you came to camp Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a great place to do that; get yourself into a kayak and hit Au Train       River. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Lake Stella has it all. Lakes? Sure, Stoner Lake is in the neighborhood; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Munising. This lake is so wonderful. The Haymeadow Falls Trail offers hiking at its best; Super 8 Motel - Munising Wetmore Area is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Addis Lakes Ski Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood                  you can always stop at nearby Bass Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Lake Stella is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is commonly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Lake Stella. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
