     East Lake is a nice lake right next door to Spring Lake, and hey, North Branch Carp River is a wonderful local stream. After a long day outdoors Kewadin Shores Casino Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two, and Spring Lake is right by the Mackinac Trail. Lakes are such serene spots, why not visit Guard Lake in the vicinity of Spring Lake, and the Horseshoe Bay Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular location for  
   folks from Sault Ste. Marie, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Spring Lake; North Country Trail is a good local trail.
During the summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Spring Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Spring Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. If you came to camp Pine River Primitive Campground is a perfect site
 
               to do that. Spring Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and April on the other hand is the driest.
And that's not all you can do here at Spring Lake. Camping at Castle Rock Mackinac Trail is always a wonderful experience; dry warm beds await you at Kewadin Casino Lakefront Inn.
