There are some nice whitewater spots on Au Train River; if you need a site       to stay Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area is a splendid choice. Take a hike on the Addis Lakes Ski Trail. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Spirit Lake get into the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Spirit Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Why not camp at Au Train Lake Campground since you're here at Spirit Lake, and Shelter Bay is nearby                  and always magnificent to go to. Spirit Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; throughout September this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
