The amount of rainfall that falls at Spider Ponds is close to the national average; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. There are other places here than Spider Ponds, for example Ivars Pond, and paddling on Au Train River is so much fun. Summer at Spider Ponds arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures       sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Spider Ponds nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area is a good site to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail. Good hiking is available along the Chatham Ski Trail; Laughing Whitefish Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. If only every site had                  this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. Take a side trip to Silver Creek, and nice skiing awaits you at Gladstone Ski Park. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out Coots Pond right next door to Spider Ponds, and Au Train Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Spider Ponds; Addis Lakes Ski Trail is a glorious local trail. This lake is so wonderful.
