If you came for an overnight stay Driftwood Shores RV Park is a tremendous place to camp. For the period of the summer highs here at Smith Slough reach the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Smith Slough       temperatures sink to the 0's. Smith Slough gets a normal amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Smith Slough. Golf can be played at Indian Lake Golf Course; there's good hiking along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not                  go to Indian Lake near Smith Slough, and there are good locations to look at along the High Rollways Truck Trail. There are other places here than Smith Slough, for example Woodruff Lake; hey, Smith Creek is a great local stream.
