This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Camp Nine Lakes is a lake close at hand; a great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express MANISTIQUE. Smith Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer       brings highs in the 70's to Smith Lake, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Smith Lake. There's so much to do here at Smith Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Driftwood Shores RV Park is a glorious location for that, and going for a hike on the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful.                  You're probably interested in lakes, Doyle Lake is one of those close by; there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the High Rollways Truck Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Smith Lake.
