At Slab Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Slab Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Slab Lake is not the only place close by, Mitchell Lake is a close by lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Eagle Ridge Golf       Club. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Tawas City is a perfect choice; Slab Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Alcona Park is a splendid place to camp nearby. Loud Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and a good nearby hotel is Tawas Bay Beach Resort. From a precipitation point of view Slab Lake is a rather common place; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month is February.
