Summertime highs at Skip Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Skip Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Skip Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. This is       no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. A lake nearby is Saunder Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails. This lake is so wonderful. Skip Lake is not the only place close by, Hop Lake is a close by lake; if you came for an overnight stay Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground is a great place to camp. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sturgeon River; why not camp at Lower Dam Lake Campground while you're                  here at Skip Lake.
