If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - West Branch is a pleasant choice, and some nearby water includes Feeding Ground Creek. From a precipitation point of view Skidway Lake is a reasonably typical place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Lame Duck Truck Trail, and not far from       Skidway Lake you'll discover Lost Lake which is a charming lake. For the duration of the months of summer at Skidway Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Skidway Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. There are other places here than Skidway Lake, for example Turtle Lake, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Quality Inn West Branch.                  This lake is so wonderful. Camping at River View Campground & Canoe Livery is always a pleasant experience; do take a hike on the Sterling Truck Trail. Just can't get enough of Skidway Lake.
