    What a nice lake Lake Skegemog is. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Skegemog has to offer, you can camp at Torch Grove Campgrounds, and some of the water nearby flows, like Barker Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Shanty Creek if you're here, and Grand Traverse Resort & Spa is a great spot to get some rest.
Lake Skegemog is not the only site close by, Smith Lake is a close by lake,
 
   and a trip to close by Skegemog Point is very relaxing. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Enjoy a round of golf at Elk Rapids Golf Course not far from Lake Skegemog, of course you could also stop by Haynes Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. There's so much to do here at Lake Skegemog that you need to camp here for a while, Honcho Rest Campground is a pleasant place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Kalkaska.

               temperatures at Lake Skegemog through the summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Lake Skegemog tend to be in the 10's. Lake Skegemog gets a normal amount of rain; September is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month.
