Why not camp at Hiawatha Resort and Campground while you're here at Skeels Lake, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. A stunning lake like Blue Lake near Skeels Lake is a great location to explore; the Valley Spur Ski Trail is a great hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Wide Water Campground is a nice local campground; after a long day outdoors Comfort       Inn Munising is a great location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Skeels Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Skeels Lake is a good spot of normal rainfall; during the month of September you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest.
