After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Escanaba is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Sixteen; Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail is a pleasant local trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Sixteen is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the       warmest time of the year highs here at Lake Sixteen get into the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Sixteen. Lake Sixteen in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Ford River. This lake is so wonderful.
