The skiing at Skyline Ski Slide is great; Super 8 Motel - Grayling is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. At Simpson Lakes through the summer months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Simpson Lakes. From a rainfall point of view Simpson Lakes is a quite       typical spot; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. You must without doubt dedicate some time to Juvigny Valley while you're here at Simpson Lakes; why not explore nearby East Branch Au Sable River if you're here at Simpson Lakes.
