Silver Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Hit the slopes at Marquette around here; a wonderful site for whitewater paddling is Chocolay River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Marquette, MI; Silver Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, City Of Marquette is a fine local campground. During the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Silver Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Silver                  Lake are in the 0's. You'll meet a lot of people from Marquette here It's always good to take a look at Froling Falls. So many exciting things to do at Silver Lake, so little time. If you're here at Silver Lake and you like golf, you can take a look at Red Fox Run Golf Course, and if you came to camp Gitche Gumee Campground and RV is a tremendous place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
