The amount of precipitation that falls at Silver Lake is close to the national average; September is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. Don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Horseshoe Bay Trail; do stop by Martin Lake, it's a delightful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the North Country Trail, and camping       is available at Lakeshore Park Campground. A splendid close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - St. Ignace; since you're here you can play some golf at St Ignace Golf & Country Club. Just can't get enough of Silver Lake. Camping at Lake Shore RV Park is always a delightful experience, and Kitchens Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. At Silver Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are                  in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Silver Lake are in the 10's. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Nubs Nob is in the vicinity of Silver Lake, and do schedule some time to have a look at Poupard Bay if you have a chance.
