Take a side tour to Allen Creek. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Silver Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the       winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Silver Lake. A day on the slopes of Boyne Mountain is just what you need; if you came for an overnight stay Sturgeon River Campground is a nice site to camp. The annual precipitation here at Silver Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A great nearby hotel is Treetops Resort, and there's whitewater                  on Sturgeon River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful.
