It's always fun to stop by Silver Lake. High temperatures at Silver Lake through the summertime are in the 70's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's; night lows at Silver Lake through the winter usually sink into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Silver Lake is Pigeon Bay Campground, and Holiday Inn Express Indian River, Mi is a fine location to get

After a long day outdoors Fleetwood Inn & Suites is a brilliant site to spend a night or two; Silver Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Aloha State Park is a great local campground. Silver Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; throughout September this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sturgeon River; why not stop by nearby Middle Branch Little Pigeon River since you're here at Silver Lake.
